FOOTBALL PREVIEW: CLARK MONTESSORI COUGARS VS. CINCINNATI COUNTRY DAY NIGHTHAWKS
The Clark Montessori Cougars will take on the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Clark Montessori is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 36-0 win over Norwood. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cincinnati Country Day against North College Hill on Friday as the team secured a 46-14 win. Considering the Nighthawks have won six contests by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
A big part of Cincinnati Country Day's victory came down to the chemistry between Levi Guttman and his top target Thomas Huckleby. Guttman threw for 215 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes while Huckleby gained 129 total yards.
Cincinnati Country Day didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North College Hill to a completion percentage of just 42.9%. The last time the Nighthawks' completion percentage was this high was back in November of 2024.
Cincinnati Country Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Huckleby, Leon Hall Jr, and Nathan Kellenberger picked up one apiece.
Clark Montessori's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Cincinnati Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Clark Montessori was taken down by Cincinnati Country Day 44-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Cougars have more luck at home instead of on the road?
