CLARK MONTESSORI FALLS TO SUMMIT COUNTRY DAY 17-6

Cincinnati, Ohio — The Cougars fell 17-6 to the Silver Knights in last night’s contest, a defensive battle that saw key plays from both teams. The scoring opened in the second quarter when Silver Knights senior kicker Sam Reder knocked through a field goal to give his team a 3-0 lead. The Cougars responded quickly with a deep touchdown pass from quarterback Bryhaun Ramsay to senior wide receiver Jayden Murray. However, their two-point conversion attempt failed, sending the Cougars into halftime with a narrow 6-3 lead. After the break, the Silver Knights leaned on their ground game. Sophomore running back Dillon Minton powered his way into the end zone, giving the Knights a 10-6 advantage. The score remained unchanged until the final five minutes of the game, when Ramsay threw a costly interception that halted the Cougars’ momentum. Capitalizing on the turnover, the Silver Knights found the end zone once more, extending their lead to 17-6. The Cougars had one last chance to mount a comeback, but were unable to score. The Cougars return to action on Saturday, September 6th, as they take on Gamble Montessori at Withrow High School. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
