WALNUT HILLS SELECTS HEAD COACH
Coach Goodman brings a deep understanding of championship culture, player development, and leadership to Walnut Hills. A respected figure in Cincinnati football, he combines elite playing
experience with a proven commitment to mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field.
A graduate of Colerain High School, Coach Goodman was a standout football player for one of Ohio’s most storied programs. He led the Cardinals to a 15–0 record and the Ohio Division I state championship as a senior, earning MVP honors in the title game after a historic performance that included a state-final record 259 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His senior season is remembered as one of the best in Colerain history and helped cement his reputation as a dynamic leader and competitor.
Coach Goodman continued his football career at the University of Cincinnati, where he became one of the Bearcats’ most productive wide receivers in program history. Over his collegiate career, he ranked among Cincinnati’s all-time leaders in receptions and receiving yards and served as a key offensive weapon throughout his tenure. During his time at UC, Goodman played under Head Coach Brian Kelly and contributed to several successful seasons, including bowl game appearances. He was a standout performer in the 2007 International Bowl, earning game MVP honors and demonstrating his ability to excel on the biggest stages.
Following his college playing career, Coach Goodman went on to play professional football both domestically and internationally, further expanding his understanding of the game. He later
transitioned into high school athletics, coaching at Colerain (alma mater), Northwest, Princeton, New Miami, and most recently Talawanda, bringing valuable experience from a variety of
programs and communities.
Coach Goodman will lead the Walnut Hills football program with passion, integrity, and purpose. His vision centers on building a program rooted in accountability, effort, and opportunity—one that reflects the values of Walnut Hills High School and prepares student-athletes for success beyond the field.
We are excited to welcome Coach Goodman and his family to the Walnut Hills Eagles community. His leadership, football knowledge, and dedication to student-athletes make him an
excellent fit to guide the next chapter of Walnut Hills football.
