Casey Newman put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Newman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. In other batting news, Evan Robinson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Levi Guttman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Clark Montessori's record now sits at 1-3. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they now have a losing record of 1-2. The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clark Montessori has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cincinnati Country Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more. Clark Montessori suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Cincinnati Country Day in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself?
